Wertz Art and Architecture Library Zine Collection
Scope and Contents
This zine collection contains two series: the teaching collection, which is comprised of zines made by creators outside Miami University purchased or donated to the collection and used as examples for zine workshop instruction and the workshop colletion, which is comprised of zines made by Miami students during in-class zine workshops or other zine events held at the library. Unless noted in the item level record, students were not given a specific assignment with their zines; instead they were encouraged to explore and create what they wanted.

Collection is arranged into two series: the teaching collection, which is arranged by subject alphabetically and the workshop collection, which is arranged by semester and class or event.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Zines in the teaching collection were purchased by the arts and humanities librarian or donated by individuals. Zines in the workshop collection were donated by the Miami students or faculty who made them.
